Matt Lucas has went onto Twitter to publically deny that he and showbiz and television partner David Walliams are splitting up to do solo projects after it was reported today in a national newspaper that the duo would be splitting up leading to comedy mockumentary Come Fly With Me's planned second series being scrapped.
Earlier today, we reported that The Sun had revealed that the well known television pair would be splitting up after 20 years together on television to pursue solo projects therefore meaning their planned second series of the hit BBC1 comedy was also being scrapped.
Speaking on Twitter, Matt wrote: ''Some Tweeters and newspapers assuming that because we are doing our own shows, me and Dave have split up. We haven't!'.' Although he did not comment on the rumours that the sketch show had been axed, BBC did not comment on the newspaper reports and the good ratings for Series 1 suggest that the broadcaster would be keen to renew the series.
