Celebrity 5 Go Barging celebrities line up from Channel 5’s new show

The line up of celebrities on Celebrity 5 Go Barging have been revealed.

The new Channel 5 show will see some familiar faces sailing through France as they live together on a narrowboat.

They’ll learn how to navigate (and avoid sinking) as they trade their usual life of luxury for the cramped conditions of a cabin on the water.

The cast will board their boats on the River Lot in South west France before heading on a journey along France’s most picturesque waterways.

As they sail, they’ll stop off at some famous tourist destinations such as the city of Cahors, known for its deep red wine and medieval architecture.

Tom Conti – Scottish actor, writer and director who has appeared in films including The Dark Knight Rises and Paddington 2.

Diarmuid Gavin – Irish TV personality and celebrity gardener

Tessa Sanderson – Six time Olympic Javelin competitor

Tony Christie – Singer best known for his huge hit Is This The Way to Amarillo?

Penny Smith – TV presenter most known for her role on GMTV, as well as appearances on Sky News and radio.

In their next episode which is on tonight on TV, the celebrities tackle a new adventure on the Canal du Midi, a 17th-century feat of engineering. They find their new boats at the marina in Sete on the coast of the Mediterranean.

They must first decide who gets which boat, before the famous five deal with the language barriers between local fisherman as they set off across France’s largest lagoon, the Etang du Thau

Celebrity 5 Go Barging continues Friday night, February 16 at 8PM on Channel 5.
