Derry Girls concludes tonight on Channel 4 but who's in the cast and what's it all about?

Derry Girls is a brand new six-part comedy from acclaimed writer Lisa McGee who mines her own experiences to create a candid, one-of-a-kind, family-centred comedy set against the spectre of The Troubles in Northern Ireland.

The new series continues at 10PM on Channel 4 this evening.

Erin Quinn is played by Saoirse Jackson, Orla McCool is played by Louisa Harland, Clare Devlin is played by Nicola Coughlan, Michelle Mallon is played by Jamie-Lee O’donnell.

They're joined by James Maguire – played by Dylan Llewellyn, Sister Michael played by Siobhan McSweeney, Ma Mary (Mary Quinn) is played by Tara Lynne O’Neill and Da Gerry (Gerry Quinn) played by Tommy Tiernan.

Granda Joe McCool is played by Ian Mcelhinney and Sarah McCool is played by Kathy Kiera Clarke.

In tonight's final episode, Erin (Saoirse-Monica Jackson) is over the moon when she manages, through dubious means, to secure herself the position of editor of the school magazine, The Habit.

Especially when she uncovers an explosive story. Orla's (Louisa Harland) become obsessed by step aerobics, and Da Gerry (Tommy Tiernan) is in trouble with Ma Mary (Tara Lynne O'Neill) for losing the docket for the photos from her birthday party.

Elsewhere there's romance on the horizon for Aunt Sarah (Kathy Kiera Clarke).

Derry Girls airs on Channel 4 tonight at 10PM.

It's the final of six episodes of the new series.
