Rak-Su were crowned the winner of The X Factor 2017 last Sunday, beating Grace Davies in the final showdown.

Going into Sunday evening’s show, Rak-Su and Grace were the only two acts that remain in the running.

The pair were top of the vote at Saturday night’s freeze where Kevin Davy White went home, finishing in third place.

Rak-Su are the first boy band ever to win The X Factor and only the second group in 14 years, following Little Mix who won in 2011.

A collaboration between the two could well be on the cards if the Rak-Su boys get their way.

Ashley from Rak-Su said: “The Girls from Little Mix have actually been really helpful. There’s not been a great deal of interaction; I think you bumped into Leigh-Anne once, didn’t you?”

Jamaal confirmed: “Yeah, I bumped into her and she was just saying just kinda trust the process. There can be a lot going on but just keep your head down and keep working hard.”

Speaking to to BeBox after their X Factor victory, Rak-Su went on to say they’d love to team up with Little Mix – along with a host of other stars.

“All the people we kinda grew up listening to and that our tastes have been moulded by – Usher, Babyface, Jay-Z, Skepta, Frank Ocean, Camila Cabello. I mean, she’s good init? Little Mix; there’s actually so many,” they said.

Meanwhile, chatting on BBC Radio 2, Rak-Su revealed plans to put out new music “early next year”.

“What we are going to do is the songs that we’ve done on the show previously, we’re going to try and get some studio version of that done,” the boys said. “And then we’re going to start work on the album as well.

“But I think we’ve got an opportunity at the moment and some momentum behind us, and we just want to use it.”

This week saw Rak-Su chart at Number 2 with their winner’s single Dimelo after just five days on sale.

It was one place better than Matt Terry managed with his debut last year, but was beaten to Number 1 by Ed Sheeran.
