Who left The X Factor 2017 tonight? The latest result of the series has been revealed.
This evening saw the first half of the semi-final live shows of The X Factor 2017 with a new format.
The contestants this year had been performing in separate nights in their categories, until tonight.
All six of the remaining acts shared the stage for the first time, singing songs with a theme of ‘Cool Britannia’.
Just like in past weeks, the viewers voted and there was no sing off as the one act with the fewest votes was sent home.
And it was Matt Linnen who was next to be voted off the show.
“I’ve had loads of fun, I wish the best of luck to everyone, especially Kevin, I’ve just had an amazing time” Matt told host Dermot O’Leary.
This weekend there was no prize fight but there was a special surprise for the final six, as it was confirmed they were all going on the live tour next year.
The X Factor Tour – with each concert to be hosted by presenter Becca Dudley – kicks off in Belfast on 16th February. It will travel across the UK and Ireland, visiting Birmingham, Bournemouth, Brighton, Cardiff, Dublin, Glasgow, Leeds, Liverpool, London, Manchester, Newcastle, Nottingham and Sheffield.
Elsewhere, tonight’s latest live show saw a guest performance from former X Factor winner James Arthur.
A total of 5 contestants now remain in the competition’s final stages ahead of grand final next weekend.
They will all sing live again tomorrow (Sunday) before TWO more are sent home in a double elimination.
Those left in the contest are Simon Cowell’s Groups Rak-Su and The CutKelvins and Sharon Osbourne final Girl Grace Davies.
Plus Louis Walsh’s last boy Lloyd Macey and Nicole Scherzinger’s remaining Over Kevin Davy White.
The X Factor 2017 continues Sunday night at 7:30PM live on ITV.
As well as the latest performances and elimination, there will be a special guest appearance from Ed Sheeran.
