Sam Black has spoken out after his exit from The X Factor 2017 in the latest results.

Last weekend was the fourth round of live shows of The X Factor with the new format.

The contestants this year are performing in separate nights in their categories and on Saturday evening the Boys and Groups were in the spotlight.

It was a double eviction and both Sam Black and duo Sean and Conor Price were the two acts who were voted off.

This year there is no sing off and the results are on the same night, decided by the viewer poll alone.

Sam told the Daily Star on Sunday newspaper he had ‘no money’ after taking part in the competition.

“I’m not going to lie, I have £1.25 in my bank account,” he told the tabloid.

Sam added: “I’m really broke as I haven’t been earning money while I’ve been on X Factor. They do help out but I’m used to working seven days a week and only just getting by then, so it has been tough with no wage coming in.”

However Speaking after his exit, Sam hinted he was happy to be going home.

The new dad told The Sun newspaper: “You have moments where you’re feeling really down and think ‘do you know what? I just want to go home.'”

“I never really thought about packing it in completely but there were days where I was really missing Mason [Sam’s son] and got really down, do you know what I mean? I’d never quit on anything,” he explained.

Elsewhere on Saturday night, Rak-Su topped the vote for a third time and went through to Sunday’s prize fight against Grace Davies who topped Sunday’s vote.

A total of six contestants now remain in the competition’s final stages ahead of the semi-finals.

They are Simon Cowell’s Groups Rak-Su and The CutKelvins, Sharon Osbourne’s final Girl Grace Davies.
