X Factor 2017 contestant Grace Davies has spoken out over recent press stories.
One of the favourites to win, Grace has been the topic of a number of tabloid headlines in the past week.
One story saw her branded a “disgusting person” over a college fight that saw her quizzed by the police.
A row in 2015 between Grace and a friend over an iPad saw her questioned by police, resulting in a “community resolution” rather than any official action.
Giving her side of the story, Grace said this weekend: “There was an incident with a boy at college where I did completely lose my cool.
“It sounds so petty now but we weren’t getting on and a couple of people were winding me up and going through my belongings and things like that.
“On that day I just walked back into the classroom and I’d had enough. I saw red for five seconds and it’s absolutely something I’m not proud of.”
In an interview with the Daily Mirror, Grace added: “I’ve never forgotten it and it has played on mind ever since.
“I apologised at the time and I still feel really sorry. It was a moment of madness.”
Grace will be returning to the X Factor stage on Sunday night with another original song.
The theme this week is ‘Crazy In Love’ and Grace will be singing a song called ‘Hesitate’.
Currently a total of 10 acts are left in the competition with three weeks to go.
They are Simon Cowell’s Groups Rak-Su, The CutKelvins and Sean and Conor Price, Sharon Osbourne’s Girls Grace Davies, Rai-Elle Williams and Holly Tandy.
Plus Louis Walsh’s Boys Lloyd Macey and Sam Black and Nicole Scherzinger’s Overs Kevin Davy White and Matt Linnen.
