Kevin Davy White has spilled on what it’s like working with Nicole Scherzinger on X Factor.
Kevin is through to the semi-finals on this year’s series, in the Overs category mentored by Nicole.
And he says the the Pussycat Doll singer gives the job her full attention.
“I didn’t expect that she could be invested on that level,” Kevin confessed.
He explained to OK! magazine: “She is there all the time. She comes to the house when we choose our songs. She checks every detail. She’s really supportive.”
Kevin isn’t alone in enjoying his time with Nicole.
He’s in the semi-finals alongside dad-of-three Matt Linnen who is reportedly “smitten” with his mentor.
An insider told The Sun newspaper: “He thinks she is amazing and he hasn’t been too subtle about showing it.”
Meanwhile, Nicole has said she wants to change the name of her category.
She said: “I really hate the name Overs. I told The X Factor producers I want to change it to the Sexies.
“Whenever you say you have the Overs and people are like ‘Meh’, and I’m like ‘Come on guys, they’re not in their nineties!’ The category is 28 years and up, they’re still young.”
Nicole added she was excited to be mentoring the group this series.
She said: “I’ve never worked with that category before. I don’t want to do the same things over and over, I wanted to switch it up. There’s a lot to be said for the Overs because they have more life experience, so they bring more meaning an depth to the competition.”
A total of 6 contestants currently remain on The X Factor this year with just two weeks left to go.
Alongside Nicole Scherzinger’s Overs Kevin Davy White and Matt Linnen are are Simon Cowell’s Groups Rak-Su and The CutKelvins, Sharon Osbourne’s final Girl Grace Davies and Louis Walsh’s last Boy Lloyd Macey.
The X Factor 2017 continues this Saturday and Sunday night on ITV at 7:30PM.
