X Factor 2017: Grace Davies accused of 'diva behaviour' behind the scenes

X Factor 2017 favourite Grace Davies has been accused of ‘backstage diva antics’.

The singer is one of the tips to win the series and topped the very first public vote of the live shows.

But sources have claimed the singer-songwriter, who has been performing her own songs, is ‘acting as if she’s already won’.

Speaking to the Daily Mirror newspaper, an insider accused: “Grace acts like she has already won and is a big star.

“All her manners seem to have gone and since winning the opening week she has developed a bit of an attitude. It needs to stop.”

However a source close to Grace defended her alleged ‘attitude’, saying she is merely keen to do well in the competition.

They explained: “After years of performing in clubs and bars with little recognition, Grace hopes that this is her time for a big break in the music industry.

“This matters so much and she is beside herself that people may mistake her need to be a perfectionist as being difficult.

“The reality is she’s worked so hard for this and is taking the competition very seriously.”

This weekend the pressure is on Grace and the other finalists as FOUR contestants will be leaving in two double evictions on Saturday and Sunday nights.

Following the second round of live shows, boy group Rak-Su have overtaken Grace as the outright favourites.

Aoife Heffron, Spokeswoman for BoyleSports commented: “Rak-Su continue to impress and as they shorten to the new 10/11 favourites and previous favourite Grace Davies drifts out to 5/2, they are beginning to run away with the competition.”

She added, “Kevin Davy White is most certainly one to watch after his take on Santana Ft. Rob Thomas’ Smooth saw him clinch the Prize Fight and force traders to drastically cut his odds from 50/1 into 10/1.”

The X Factor airs this Saturday at 8:10PM and Sunday at 7:30PM on ITV.
