Kevin Davy White has been revealed as the winner of the fourth public vote on The X Factor.
Tonight saw the second half of the first weekend of The X Factor 2017’s live shows with the brand new format.
The contestants this year are performing on separate nights in their categories and this evening the Overs and Girls were in the spotlight, following the Boys and Groups who sang yesterday.
After the Overs and Girls’ second live performances this year, the public vote opened.
In the format this year there is no sing off and the results are on the same night, decided by the viewer poll alone.
Ranked bottom and the fourth act who was voted off The X Factor this year was Tracy Leanne Jefford.
But at the other end, Kevin Davy White topped the public poll, host Dermot O’Leary has announced. The placings of the remaining Overs and Girls contestants were not disclosed.
This year, rather than a sing-off between the bottom acts, there will be a sing-off between the acts who topped the votes on Saturday and Sunday night.
They will compete for a prize, which this week is studio time with a top music producer.
Rak-Su in the Groups category topped Saturday’s vote, so Kevin will now sing off against Rak-Su this evening for the prize.
Meanwhile, a total of 12 now remain in the competition’s final stages after Tracy Leanne Jefford’s exit and Leon Mallett’s departure on Saturday.
They are Simon Cowell’s Groups Rak-Su, The CutKelvins, Sean and Conor Price and wildcard Jack & Joel, Sharon Osbourne’s Girls Grace Davies, Rai-Elle Williams, Holly Tandy and wildcard Alisah Bonaobra.
Plus Louis Walsh’s Boys Lloyd Macey and Sam Black and Nicole Scherzinger’s Overs Kevin Davy White and Matt Linnen.
The X Factor 2017 continues next Saturday and Sunday night on ITV.
