X Factor’s Grace Davies is going to take a risk on Sunday evening, singing her first cover of the series.

13 finalists now remain in the competition after the opening weekend saw two contestants given the boot while tonight it was Leon Mallett who was voted off The X Factor.

Another act will again be leaving in Sunday’s latest performance and results show.

Once again this weekend the contestants are performing over separate nights.

This time around the Boys and Groups were first up on Saturday while the Girls and Overs will sing this evening with this week’s Viva Latino theme.

Ahead of her performance on Sunday evening, Girls’ competitor Grace Davies has revealed she’ll be swapping her original songs for a cover.

For the new ‘Viva Latino’ theme, Grace will be singing Ciao Adios by Anne Marie.

Grace says she’s excited to show a “different side” but admitted it was “nerve-racking” to be performing what will be her first cover on the show.

The singer told Radio Times: “This performance is definitely different to what it was last weekend.”

Grace revealed she had written too many original songs to count and explained plans to mix up her self-penned tracks with covers if she continues to make it through.

“If I get through which, fingers crossed, I do, then it’ll probably be a mixture – I do like to have fun with covers and I think sometimes I think it’s hard to get people to warm to your originals so that’s something I’ll think about. But it’s nice to do a mixture of both,” Grace said.

Once again this week, at the end of each live show a public vote will decide which one act is immediately given the boot with the bottom two sing-off axed.

Instead, the acts who top Saturday and Sunday’s vote face off in a new ‘prize fight’ to win a special reward.

The X Factor 2017 continues on Sunday evening at 7:05PM on ITV.

Rita Ora will be making a guest performance.
