Rak-Su been revealed as the winner of the third public vote on The X Factor.

Tonight saw the latest stage of the live shows of The X Factor 2017 with a brand new format.

The 14 remaining contestants this year are performing on separate nights in their categories and this evening the Boys and Groups were first up tonight

After their latest performances live for the first time, the public vote opened.

In the format, this year there is no sing off and the results are on the same night, decided by the viewer poll alone.

Going home… Leon

Ranked bottom was Leon Mallett and he was therefore the one who was voted off The X Factor tonight.

But at the other end Rak-Su topped the public poll for a second week, host Dermot O’Leary revealed. The placings of the remaining Boys and Groups contestants were not disclosed.

This year, rather than a sing-off between the bottom acts, there will be a sing-off between the acts who topped the votes on Saturday and Sunday night.

Rak-Su will therefore perform again on Sunday evening against the top ranked contestant in the Overs and Girls category. They will compete for a prize, which this week the chance to record a single with a top music producer.

Meanwhile, on Sunday there will also be another elimination as the lowest ranked of the Girls and Overs in the next vote is sent home.

A total of 13 now remain in the competition’s final stages ahead of Sunday’s show.


They are Simon Cowell’s Groups Rak-Su, The CutKelvins, Sean and Conor Price and wildcard Jack & Joel, Sharon Osbourne’s Girls Grace Davies, Rai-Elle Williams, Holly Tandy and wildcard Alisah Bonaobra.

Plus Louis Walsh’s Boys Lloyd Macey and Sam Black and Nicole Scherzinger’s Overs Kevin Davy White, Matt Linnen and Tracy Leanne Jefford.

The X Factor 2017 continues Sunday night on ITV from the earlier time of 7:05PM with the Overs and Girls performances.

Rita Ora will be performing plus another contestant will be heading home.
