Grace Davies has won the first prize fight on The X Factor 2017.

Grace beat Rak-Su in a brand new sing-off twist for this year’s live shows which pitches the best acts against each other.

This year there is no bottom two sing off and the results are on the same night, decided by the viewer poll alone.

On Saturday the Girls and Groups performed and Spencer Sutherland became the first act to be eliminated after polling the fewest votes.

But Grace went forward to the ‘prize fight’ after topping the public vote.

Tonight (Sunday), the Overs and Groups performed before a second public vote ended in Talia Dean leaving the competition while Rak-Su topped the vote.

Rak-Su and Grace therefore went head to head in the prize fight, competing for a masterclass with singer P!nk in New York.

They both reprised their songs – which were both self-penned original tracks – from the weekend before another public vote opened between the two.

Once the flash poll closed, host Dermot O’Leary revealed the results.

And the winner of the ‘prize fight’ as decided by the viewers was… GRACE.

“That is the just the best!” she reacted, “I think the most heart-warming thing is that people want original songs.”

A total of 14 now remain in the competition’s final stages ahead of next weekend’s second live shows.
