The X Factor 2017 live performances will be available to download on iTunes again this year.

After each live show you’ll be able to purchase a studio recording of each live performance from iTunes at 99p a pop.

X Factor had put songs on iTunes previously but removed for the past two series.

Last year however the songs were available to stream online via Spotify. It’s not clear if they’ll be available to stream again this year or only available to download.

The X Factor 2017 live shows will see contestants’ performances split between the Saturday and Sunday nights.

For the first weekend, the Boys and Girls will perform on Saturday while the Overs and Groups will sing on Sunday.

Tonight’s opening theme is ‘Express Yourself’ as each act gets the chance to show exactly what they represent and who they are as a performer.

A total of 16 contestants will be singing over the two nights, the 12 confirmed finalists plus the four wild card acts.

The public had the chance to vote in four extra contestants to the live shows, with their identities to be revealed live tonight.

It’s expected at least two acts will leave the competition over the first weekend, one on each night.

The X Factor 2017 airs LIVE on ITV this evening (Saturday) from 8:20PM with the first performances.

The show then continues on Sunday night at the earlier time of 7PM.
