The X Factor 2017 contestants have been fighting over song choices.

As the live shows get underway, things are heating up between the acts.

And already some of the singers aren’t happy with one another after clashes over song choices.

“I’ll tell you what’s competitive: song choice,” Holly Tandy revealed last weekend. “We are in preparation for week two already in case we get through; I know it’s far away but we have to be prepared.

“I remember saying to someone, ‘I think I might do this song’, then put in to do it and they [production] said ‘so and so is doing that one.’

“So you can’t tell anyone what songs you’re doing because people will steal it.”

She added to The Sun newspaper: “You have to make your mark, everyone is learning each other’s pecking order in the house but we’re all just having a great time really.”

As was rumoured, this year will see contestants’ performances split between the Saturday and Sunday nights.

For the first weekend, the Boys and Girls performed on Saturday while the Overs and Groups were on stage on Sunday. It’s not yet been revealed if the line up will remain the same for the second weekend.

Meanwhile, at the end of each live show, a public vote will decide which one act is immediately given the boot with the bottom two sing-off axed.

Instead, the acts who top Saturday and Sunday’s vote face off in a new ‘prize fight’ to win a special reward.

The X Factor 2017 continues this Saturday at 8:20PM and Sunday night at 7:05PM on ITV.

Guest stars will be BGT winner Tokio Myers and Rita Ora.
