Could 2017 be the return of The X Factor to the Christmas Number 1 spot?
The X Factor achieved four festive chart toppers between 2005 and 2009 and a further three between 2010 and 2014.
However in recent years the top spot has been out of reach with the last two winners - Louisa Johnson and Matt Terry - missing Number 1 completely.
This year The X Factor final will be a few weeks earlier than usual, airing on December 3, potentially giving the winner more time to build up streams which now count towards the charts.
As things stand the still to be confirmed champion of The X Factor 2017 is the third favourite to win the latest festive number on.
WHAM! are clear favourites to take number one spot in the official charts this Christmas, according to Ladbrokes.
Last Christmas is 4/6 to be number one on December 25, while the bookies are going 3/1 about Ed Sheeran releasing a festive chart-topping track.
The X Factor winner is currently 6/1 for the coveted position, and while Liam and Noel Gallagher may be keeping their distance, they're neck and neck in the betting at 66/1 as things stand.
Alex Apati of Ladbrokes said: "It's been a year since we last put this market up, but it doesn't surprise us to see Wham! heading the Christmas number one betting. It may be early days, but it's theirs to give away."
"Gone are the days where the X Factor winner was someone to rely on in this market, as it's looking increasingly likely that the festive top spot will be heading elsewhere."
