The runner up to last year’s series had signed a mega record deal with Sony Music to put out an album later this year.

But now Saara has revealed she’s parted ways from Sony, instead signing a new contract with Warner music.

Saara told The Sun newspaper: “I was honoured I was signed to Sony. But later I felt like they weren’t the right team.

“When I met the people at Warner they were very excited about my style and making me into this big theatrical artist.”

Saara is currently recording songs for her album, including a collaboration with X Factor winner Matt Terry.

It’s set to be a busy 12 months for the singer who earlier this year announced she was joining the panel of The X Factor in her home country of Finland.

Saara told the Daily Mail newspaper: “Finland watched my journey on the X Factor UK because we didn’t have it in our country. They loved it. So it’s been quite natural for them to ask me to be a judge. I feel I have a lot to bring to it.”

One of four judges just like on our show, Saara will be mentoring a group of contestants and is hoping for the girls.

“All the categories would be great but I think I’d like to coach the girls. I know what they’ll be going through!” she said.

Reflecting on the past year, Saara added: “It’s crazy to think that a year ago I was auditioning for X Factor UK. Since that my whole life has changed.

“Doing the tour was amazing. I never thought that this could happen to a Finnish girl. Dreams can come true!”
