The X Factor 2017 live shows start date has been confirmed with new bumper episodes on both Saturday and Sunday night.
The X Factor live shows begin next Saturday, October 28 and Sunday, October 29.
Both shows will run for two hours, starting at 8:20PM on the Saturday and 7PM on the Sunday.
As yet, the exact format of the live shows hasn’t been confirmed but the extra long schedule would appear to confirm rumours of changes we’ve been hearing.
It was previously reported that both Saturday and Sunday night’s shows would see a mix of contestants performances, guest acts and eliminations, rather than being split into distinct performance and results episodes.
A source explained: “[Simon] wants the show to mix things up – have guest performers on Saturday’s show, kick out acts on both nights of the weekend … it’ll be must-see TV.
“The shows will be tighter, less predictable for viewers and acts will perform across the weekend.
“Everyone’s really excited about the changes – it’s going to be an amazing series.”
Right now however, ITV are being coy with the details.
Here’s all they have to say on the live shows right: now:
The nation’s favourite singing show returns with the start of the anticipated live rounds.
Each of the final contestants will sing their hearts out on the live stage with judges Louis Walsh, Sharon Osbourne, Nicole Scherzinger and Simon Cowell resuming their seats behind the judges’ desk to battle it out with their contestants in the hope of impressing the audience at home.
This year Louis has the Boys, Nicole the Overs, Simon the Groups and Sharon the Girls with resident host, Dermot O’Leary leading the proceedings and keeping the judges in check along the way.
Throughout the live shows an outstanding line-up of guest stars will perform.
For now, The X Factor 2017 airs this Saturday and Sunday night with judges’ houses.
We’ll find out which contestants have made it into the live shows as the mentors pick their finalists.
