Nicole Scherzinger causes OUTRAGE on The X Factor 2017 this weekend.
The X Factor is back on ITV this evening at 8:15PM and Sunday from 7PM.
Tonight (Saturday) sees Nicole in charge of her Overs category at the Six Chair Challenge.
And once all her chairs are full, she makes one decision on who to swap out that causes uproar from both Nicole’s fellow judges and the audience.
“That is crazy,” reacts Simon Cowell. “That is madness.”
Even Dermot O’Leary is shocked, saying from the sidelines: “That’s insane.”
With the audience booing and her fellow judges raging, Nicole storms out
A teaser for the weekend also sees Louis Walsh’s decisions in the Six Chair Challenge – to air on Sunday – cause outrage, prompting Simon Cowell to join in with the audience and boo the Irish music mogul.
Last Sunday saw the six chair challenge begin with Sharon Osbourne and the Girls category.
There were some surprise choices from Sharon but tough decisions had to be made in the always competitive category.
Things ended with a three way sing off for the final seats before the six contestants through to the judges’ houses stage were confirmed.
Over the next two episodes, Louis and the Boys, Nicole and the Overs and Simon and the Groups will go through the same process.
Each of the contestants in the respective categories will take to the stage one at a time, battling for one of six seats which represent places at judges’ houses.
While the judges – and the live audience at Wembley Arena – all offer up their opinions, only the mentor of the category decides who gets a chair.
Those who are left sitting at the end will join Sharon’s six girls at judges’ houses: 22-year-old singer Alisah Bonaobra, 22-year-old musician Deanna Mussington, 20-year-old mum Georgina Panton, 16-year-old singer Holly Tandy, 16-year-old student Rai-Elle and 20 year-old singer-songwriter and warehouse assistant Grace Davies.
Following the end of the six chair challenge, the six contestants left in each category will fly across the globe to sing for their mentor in a bid to get a spot in the LIVE SHOWS.
