The X Factor 2017 judges discovered their categories on tonight’s show.
And there was one group that Sharon Osbourne is VERY keen to avoid.
At the end of this evening’s episode, the acts through to the six chair challenge were split up into the Girls, Boys, Groups and Overs.
In separate rooms, they then waited to find out which judge would walk through their door to mentor them.
“I’m really excited because I have no idea what I am going to get,” Sharon Osbourne said. “As long as I don’t get the girls, I’ll be happy.”
Sharon later told Dermot O’Leary she wanted the boys, and explained why she was hopeful it wouldnn’t be the girls behind her door: “They’re to young and I’m too upfront, I don’t want to hurt anyone!”
However, it was the girls that Sharon will be mentoring this year.
Nicole Scherzinger has the Overs after saying: “I don’t feel as though there’s a stronger category yet but I feel the category I’d work well with this year are the Overs.”
Louis Walsh got the Boys having said: “I’m always a little bit nervous, I’m always a little bit excited about the reveal. These people you have them for the rest of the show. I’d love the groups!”
An Simon Cowell commented before getting the Groups: “There’s no bad category this year, it’s who you personally would like to work with and I’d like to work with the groups.”
And it wasn’t just the judges who are nervous/excited.
Benji Matthews, who we saw making the six chair challenge last Sunday night, told cameras: “From my previous auditions, I felt like Louis hasn’t really got it so in the nicest way possible I’m hoping for anyone but Louis.”
The six chair challenge then kicks off on Sunday evening at 7:30PM with Sharon and the girls.
