Montenegro’s Eurovision hopeful Slavko Kalezić returned to The X Factor 2017 tonight.
The 31-year-old singer represented Montenegro in the Eurovision Song Contest 2017 with the song Space but failed to qualify for the final.
He previously split the panel at his room audition and did the same again tonight at the arena performances.
This evening saw the remaining acts taking to the stage one by one with their own song. Slavko chose to perform Rihanna’s Where Have You Been, featuring a very impressive dance break.
Slavko said he felt one step closer to becoming the next Beyonce as the judges made their decision.
“He’s an entertainer,” Nicole Scherzinger said she fought Slavko’s corner.
But Simon Cowell brands the former Eurovision hopeful “nuts”.
In a non-unanimous decision, the judges put Slavko through to the Six Chair Challenge.
Before Eurovision, Slavko took part in the Serbian version of The X Factor back in 2013 where he progressed as far as the judges’ houses stage.
Now he’s taking his chances on The X Factor here in the UK, no doubt hoping to enjoy similar success as Finland’s former Eurovision hopeful Saara Aalto who finished as runner up in 2016.
Back at the room auditions, Slavko revealed that he was invited onto the show by Louis Walsh.
Louis explained in the episode: “We met in the Ukraine at the Eurovision Song Contest. I was there with an artist and Slavko was representing Montenegro I saw him backstage and I said you should do X Factor.”
Slavko told the other judges: “I came all over from Montenegro special for UK X Factor. Montenegro is small country. I live in small village beautiful with mountains, sea, coast. Louis Walsh is my favourite judge. He’s so lovely.”
Slavko said he was “born for showbiz” and wanted to spread his talent across the world.
“I’m ready for the judges and I feel they’re ready for me,” he concluded before singing Beyoncé’s End Of Time
“I can honestly say I’ve never seen or heard anything like that,” Simon Cowell reacted, leaving Slavko with three yeses.
The X Factor airs Saturday and Sunday nights on ITV.
