Eagle eyed X Factor viewers have noticed something odd about this year’s auditions.
And it’s caused some to claim that The X Factor has been ‘faking’ the show.
Although we didn’t catch it, The Daily Star on Sunday noticed how Nicole Scherzinger’s reaction to two of this year’s auditions was exactly the same.
A clip of Nicole reacting at the room auditions was shown both on September 2 when duo Jack and Joel performed and then again last weekend (September 23) when Alisah Bonaobra sang for the judges.
An X Factor insider told the tabloid there wasn’t any fakery going on, insisting it was just a simple editing gaffe.
“It looks like this was an error in the editing,” they said.
The insider added: “It doesn’t change the context at all, but they’ll be looking into ways to make sure this doesn’t happen again.”
Both Jack and Joel and Alisah made it through to the bootcamp stages which kicked of this weekend.
Last night saw Alisah once again impress Nicole – without any editing issues to make the Six Chair Challenge.
The Filipino singer wowed the panel after belting out Stephen Schwartz’s Defying Gravity.
Singing the classic musical hit from Wicked, Alisah had the audience on their feet and the judges full of praise.
“This is me, this is my life, I want to own this stage right now,” Alisah said of the song choice.
Whether or not duo Jack and Joel will join Alisah in the six chair challenge remains to be seen, with bootcamp continuing tonight and next weekend on ITV.
The X Factor 2017 continues Saturday and Sunday night on ITV.
Following the six chair challenge, the top six act in each category will compete in judges houses before the live shows start.
