This weekend saw the latest double rounds of auditions as try outs arrived at the half way point.

On Saturday night, first through was Spencer Sutherland who had flown all the way from America to audition – fortunately not a wasted trip!

He was quickly joined by duo ITG – made up of brothers Alex and Leon – who got a no from Simon Cowell but a yes from the other judges.

Also getting through with three yees was Scarlett Lee who was turned away by Sharon Osbourne but given a second chance by Simon to make bootcamp.

28-year-old plasterer Matt Linnen got yeses from all four judges as did 16-year-old Croydon student Rai-Elle, while former Montenegro Eurovision hopeful Slavko got through with three yeses, making bootcamp alongside duo Afro Swag.

Simon said no to Brad Howard but he flirted his way to bootcamp after getting cheeky with Nicole, while Alisah Bonaobra’s let her voice shine to close the show with an amazing audition.

On Sunday night, Jenny Ball got things started with her cover of Titanium getting four yeses and she was quickly followed through to bootcamp by Reuel Elijah, a 21-year-old dance teacher from Cardiff.

Just Us made bootcamp with ‘two yeses’ after both Nicole Scherzinger and Louis Walsh ended up joining the group, while Simon Gross entered the judges enough to also get through.

They left Berget Lewis to close this year’s auditions with a powerful performance of Purple Rain, winning overwhelming praise from the panel.
