X Factor 2017: Could Alesha Dixon join the show permanently?

Alesha Dixon has discussed joining The X Factor as a full time judge.

Current Britain's Got Talent judge and former Strictly Come Dancing panellist Alesha stepped in for Nicole Scherzinger at auditions in Manchester on this year's show.

Alesha was also seen replacing Sharon Osbourne when try outs visited Edinburgh last week.

And some fans were super keen for her to stick around.

"I just switched xfactor on and I can already tell that Alesha is better than Nicole on this show. Please keep her 😭😻 #xfactor," one viewer wrote.

Another asked: "Is it bad that I prefer Alesha on the panel more than Nicole? 😂😆#XFactor"

And a third tweeted: "Petition to have Alesha replace Nicole as a permanent judge please #XFactor"

"Would rather have Alesha as a judge over Nicole #XFactor," agreed a fourth.

However Alesha reckons it would be "greedy" for her to move shows once more.

"I had an amazing time. Simon and I have got such good banter and we had a right laugh," Alesha said of making a guest appearance. "I thought it was going to be boring watching singer and singer because we have so much variety on BGT, but I really enjoyed it."

Speaking to star magazine about making a full time switch, Alesha said: "Amanda wouldn't let me go anywhere! I'm very happy where I am and honoured that The X Factor asked me me but it would be greedy of me to want to do them all, wouldn't it?

"I've done the triple now - Strictly, BGT and The X Factor. Do they give medals out for that?!"

Simon previously revealed that Alesha had originally been due to join The X Factor before appearing on Britain's got Talent.

He said "She was amazing. She was going to be on the show in the first place before BGT.

"She was brilliant; I have to tell you, seamless. I would hire her on my record label, she’s that good."

The X Factor continues Saturday and Sunday night with more auditions.
