Taliah Dalorto stunned The X Factor 2017 judges with her voice at her first auditions.
Taliah Dalorto is a 19-year-old secretary from Essex who wants the world to know about her passion for music.
“I’m the bubbliest person at my work and everybody else can’t stand it. I’m the most bubbliest person I think I know,” said Taliah.
The teenager went on to reveal how her grandad was a singer and the pair always used to perform karaoke together.
“When I sing I connect with someone else, it’s not me. When I sing, it’s like somebody else comes out inside me,” she added. “My dream that I’ve always wanted to live is to be able to succeed in singing.
“God forbid what could happen but I would never want to leave this world without no one knowing I had any contribution to music.”
Speaking to the judges, Taliah confidently declared: “I think there’s a gap in the market for me, I’m different. I’m different to what people have probably got.”
After singing Aretha Franklin’s Ain’t No Way, Taliah was told by Simon Cowell: “You have no idea how much I wanted to find someone like you today.”
Sharon Osbourne added: “I think your performance was a much older woman , I think you can lighten up on the way you present your song.”
With four yeses, Taliah sailed through to the next round.
Meanwhile, another act on Taliah’s audition show with a surprising voice was 26-year-old freelance make-up artist Megan Byrne from Ireland (so it’s a yes from Louis…)
She performed Screamin’ Jay Hawkins’ I Put A Spell On You for the panel but it was nos for her ‘unique’ rendition of the song.
More contestants included The Clique, made up of Corey (20), Jason (27) and Rowland (29) who give a VERY original performance of Little Mix’s Touch with some shocking dance moves.
The X Factor 2017 airs Saturday and Sunday nights on ITV.
