Gregor Coleman's audition on The X Factor 2017 tonight did not go to plan.
24 year-old singer from Gregor Coleman from Glasgow went into see the judges as auditions visited Scotland this evening.
After bonding with Nicole over the rather unique butterfly tattoo on his neck, Gregor revealed that he currently busks and plays bars and clubs.
Gregor said he had been thinking about auditioning for The X Factor for the past year.
"To get through would mean the world," he added.
Gregor started his audition with Vance Joy's Riptide but was quickly stopped by Simon Cowell.
"I need you to do something which sets you apart, because that's like everything else I'm hearing. That's like what you would do busking," Simon said.
Louis Walsh chimed in: "It's forgetful, that's the problem. It was like any busker anywhere. You're better than that."
Nicole Scherzinger encouraged: "It seems you have a really beautiful voice, we want to hear your voice."
Simon concluded: "Based on that, I'm going to say no. Come back later. I want to hear something different. You're going to have one more shot."
Later Gregor returned with a new song, Rihanna's Stay.
"I've decided to choose something I would normally shy away from singing but it's my last chance so hopefully you're like it," he said.
After a nerve wrecking performance, the judges said yes to Gregor based on the second song, seeing him through to bootcamp.
Meanwhile, other acts we met tonight included nervous youngster 17 -year-old student Benji Matthews who endeared himself to the judges with his adorable giggle before even singing, while 68-year-old Ronnie Parker was the oldest contestant of the night, singing Tina Turner's Simply The Best.
Elsewhere, 25 year-old nursing home singer Russell Jones from Wales got flirty with Nicole Scherzinger and cheeky with the rest of the judges as he performed his take on The Jungle Book classic I Wanna Be Like You.
The X Factor 2017 airs Saturday and Sunday nights on ITV.
