27-year-old barman from London Aidan arrived at the auditions with his friends and family.
"I wrote my first song when I was 17, it just continued from there," he told cameras of his song-writing.
He added: "I'm getting on a bit now as far as music's concerned so if I don't hurry up, I'm going to be pulling pints the rest of my life."
Aidan explained to the judges that he had previously auditioned for the show a decade ago, but only made it as far as bootcamp.
Revealing he would be singing an original song called Punchline Aidan opened up about a relationship break up.
"These are my words and I'm so grateful I can say them in front of you," Aidan said.
After singing, Aidan's performance received only positive comments from the panel.
Sharon Osbourne praised: "I love the performance, it wasn't to much, it was just perfect."
And Simon Cowell added: "You have a beautiful voice, this was a very, very special audition."
With four yeses from the panel, Aidan sailed through to the next round.
Other acts on his show included Bukky Shittu who got flirty with Simon and Harrison Styles whose name required a double take.
We also met a number of contestants who have flown in from afar: There's boyband trio JBK from the Philippines, Elysa from Australia and Deanna from Anguilla, a British colony in the Caribbean.
Plus there's The Cutkelvins, made up of Jay (24), Shereen (20) and Kay (23) Cutkelvin who are brothers and sister from Lanark, Scotland.
The X Factor 2017 continues Saturday and Sunday nights on ITV.
