Celebrity MasterChef 2017 continued tonight: Meet this evening’s contestants and the results so far.

Tonight was the second part of the fourth and final heat of this year’s series as the final set of five celebrities battled for a special final place.

Back on Tuesday, the contest continued with actor Brian Bovell, popstar Jaymi Hensley, singer Patti Boulaye, comedian Abdullah Afzal and TV personality Reverend Kate Bottley.

They entered the Masterchef kitchen where they first tackle the Mystery Box challenge, before heading to a restaurant to cook for paying customers.

Finally, the contestants prepared a two-course meal to impress judges John Torode and Gregg Wallace.

At the end of it all, one of the celebs was sent home before tongiht’s second half of the heat. The celebrity to leave was Patti Boulaye.

That left Brian, Jaymi, Abdullah and Reverend Kate in the next stage of the heat this evening.

Split into teams, they had to prepare lunch at King’s College Dental Institute for 120 staff and students.

Then the celebrities had to prepare a faultless two-course meal to be judged not only by John Torode and Gregg Wallace, but also by past champions Sophie Thompson and Lisa Faulkner, and previous finalist Andi Peters

It was then time for the final results from the last heat.

Going home were Jaymi Hensley and Abdullah Afzal.

That left Kate Bottley and Brian Bovell as semi-finalists.

They’ll join the previous heats winners – Ulrika Jonsson, Lesley Garrett, Henri Leconte, Angellica Bell, Rebecca Adlington and Dev Griffin – in the Celebrity MasterChef 2017 semi-finals next week.

They they’ll face more nerve-racking but enthralling challenges; including cooking a five- course high tea to the exact and particular standards of world-class pastry chef, Cherish Finden, at the spectacular Stowe House.

The sixth and final week sees the remaining, and hopefully now impressive cooks, draw on all the skills they have learnt during their MasterChef journey when they face not only John Torode’s unnerving Palate Test, but also the notorious restaurant critics in the terrifying Critic’s Round.

Finally, it’s up to the respected judges to decide which celebrity contestant is worthy of lifting the Celebrity MasterChef 2017 trophy.

Celebrity MasterChef 2017 airs Wednesday and Friday nights on BBC One.
