Grace Davies is the (very) early favourite to win The X Factor 2017.

The X Factor is back and already the competition is heating up as singers from across the UK and Ireland attempt to impress the judges in the hopes of making the live shows.

A total of 17 acts went before the judges over the first weekend with 16 making it through to the bootcamp.

Grace Davies has emerged as the early favourite to win at 9/2 after her performance of original track Roots. Since her audition it has been revealed that Grace has former X factor contestant for a roommate, none other than Tyrone’s Janet Devlin from season eight.

Another Girl who shone during the first auditions was Shanaya Atkinson-Jones, who gave a powerful rendition of A Great Big World and Christina Aguilera’s Say Something to close Sunday night’s episode. She has gone straight into the betting as the 10/1 second favourite.

The Group that stood out from the first weekend was Rak-Su, who got everyone on their feet with their original track I’m Feeling You and are currently priced at 12/1.

Meanwhile, Sam Black is leading the charge for the Boys category at 16/1 after an impressive performance of Runaround Sue.

Aoife Heffron, Spokeswoman for BoyleSports commented: “Grace Davies is the one to beat after the first weekend of X Factor auditions. Her original track went down a treat with the judges and she may already have some insider knowledge as her roommate is Janet Devlin, who finished 5th back in 2011”

She added “Boyband Rak-Su also performed an original track and punters cannot get enough of them at their current 12/1. They were the first to audition kicking off series 14 and it may be a case of look no further, according to punters.”
