Louis Walsh is the surprise early favourite to win The X Factor 2017.
SPOILERS ABOUT THE CATEGORIES FOLLOW!
The X Factor continues on TV this Saturday and Sunday night on ITV at 8PM.
This series, Simon Cowell has got the Groups, Nicole Scherzinger has the Overs, Sharon Osbourne returns to the show with the Girls and Louis is back with the Boys.
Louis last won the show back in *2005* with Shayne Ward and now - more than a decade on - BoyleSports has made Louis the early favourite to have the winning act this year at 5/2.
Returning champ and two-time winning judge Nicole Scherzinger is Louis’ main threat to the title as she is breathing down his neck at odds of 11/4.
Sharon Osbourne is back and isn’t far behind at 3/1, having last won with Sam Bailey in 2013.
Also priced at 3/1 is Mr Simon Cowell, who had the winner on his side back in 2014 with Ben Haenow but faces an uphill struggle with the groups. The category has only ever won once, in 2011 with Little Mix.
Aoife Heffron, Spokeswoman for BoyleSports commented: “Louis Walsh is the surprise early favourite to be the winning judge on the X Factor this season.
"Walsh has only ever had the winning singer once, back in 2005 on the second series of the show with Shayne Ward, so his 5/2 favouritism and strong support from punters leaves us scratching our heads but intrigued to see what the 14th series has to offer.”
