X Factor 2017: Watch a first look at the brand new series

Here's your very first look at The X Factor 2017 with an early teaser trailer.

While the show isn't expected to be back for at least another month, ITV has released a first preview.

The short 20 second spot aired during the Love Island final on Monday night and sees the judges at the room auditions, with Dermot O'Leary watching on from the sidelines.

And they're all very shocked by one auditionee and his unique hair whipping performance.

Will he be the first of this year's contestants we see through to bootcamp?

We'll have to wait until the show hits screens to see.

The new series will again start with the room auditions featuring the four judges.

Simon Cowell previously said he hoped to keep the same panel as last year for this autumn's series, and that's gone to plan.

Simon returns alongside Sharon Osbourne, Louis Walsh and Nicole Scherzinger as The X Factor 2017 judges. This year is the first time since between 2008 and 2010 that the panel has remained the same between series.

But the room auditions will also see a special guest judge.

The current Britain's Got Talent judge will be stepping in for Nicole Scherzinger at auditions in Manchester.

A spokesperson for The X Factor confirmed: “Alesha is guest-judging for the first day of the Manchester auditions as Nicole is unable to film that day due to a previous diary commitment.”

Alesha will also be seen on the panel at some try outs in Edinburgh after Sharon was ill.

As for when The X Factor 2017 starts, the exact launch is yet to be confirmed and won't be for a good while yet.

But assuming there are no big surprises planned, we can expect it to be on TV from around September time if not slightly earlier in August.
