Former BBC One chat show host Jonathon is hoping to team up with the wife of pal and long-time collaborator Russell Brand, Katy Perry, in a new show. Speaking to new! magazine, Jonathan Ross said that while nothing was confirmed he was looking forward to working with the US popstar.
"I’m hoping to see Russell over the summer. We talk a lot and I’ve actually included him as a character in a comic I’ve written," Jonathan Ross told new! magazine. “I’m hoping to do a TV special with Katy Perry, too, but that hasn’t been confirmed yet. All the girls adore Katy.”
Meanwhile the former Film 2011 host revealed he turned down hosting a similar movie review show on another channel as he didn't want to compete with his replacement Claudia Winkleman.
“I was offered my own film review show with another channel, but I turned it down, partly because I didn’t want to do the same thing and partly because I thought it would be petty being in competition with Claudia’s show, which I like," Jonathon said.
He added: "I love Claudia and I wouldn’t want to do anything that would undermine what she’s doing.”
