The X Factor 2017 held auditions in Thorpe Park this week - but not everything went to plan.
However reports suggest that filming took an unexpected turn when Simon crashed a golf buggy into a gift shop.
The panel had apparently been given free reign of the park which was closed to the public in the evening
"Simon was in a wild mood and decided to go off in search of ice cream sandwiches for him and the judges," a source blabbed to The Sun newspaper. “He pinched a golf buggy from where they were filming and off he went."
The source continued “As he got close to the park’s ghost train he tried to drive the cart into a shop but completely underestimated the width of the door and clattered into some metal detectors.
“There was a brief period of concern that the judges could have been hurt, but they were soon on their way again."
Following the buggy prang, the panel went on to enjoy the rides in the park as they filmed for the new series due to air in the autumn.
"They want to get shots of the judges on white-knuckle rides," the source said previously of the decision to hold auditions in the unusual location.
The X Factor 2017 is rumoured to start at the end of August, hosted by Dermot O'Leary.
