Channel 4's Catching a Killer tonight follows The Search for Natalie Hemming.

It's the first episode in a major new series following the work of the Thames Valley Police Major Crime Unit.


The Search for Natalie Hemming follows the investigation into the disappearance of 31 year old Natalie Hemming, examining what takes place when the worst happens as the investigation into Natalie’s disappearance becomes a murder enquiry.

Natalie, mother of three, disappeared seemingly without a trace on 1st May 2016.

Her frantic mother phoned 999 two days later, triggering what became one of the biggest missing persons search in the history of Thames Valley Police.

Her husband Paul was eventually found guilty of murder and give a sentence of 20 years to life in prison.

Catching a Killer will follow the case hour by hour right from Natalie's mum's troubled 999 call to the court verdict.

What starts as one of the largest missing person searches ever seen at Thames Valley Police soon takes a unfortunate turn, with Natalie's partner the prime suspect for her murder.

With extraordinary access to the minute-by-minute police investigation and to Natalie's family and friends as they struggle to come to terms with the situation that's unfolding around them, Catching a Killer: The Search for Natalie Hemming follows the case from the extraordinary hours before the arrest to its heart-breaking conclusion.


Catching a Killer: The Search for Natalie Hemming airs at 9PM tonight on Channel 4.
