David Walliams has suggested Little Britain could return to our screens one day.
But the comic admitted he and pal Matt Lucas, who starred on the BBC series, would probably not be able to get away with a lot of their jokes today.
According to The Sun newspaper, David was asked if he’d work with Matt again on the show at a Q&A and said: “Of course we’d love to work together again.
“I wouldn’t be where I am today without him.
“He moved to America and it made it more complicated but I’m sure we will one day."
Reflecting on the hit series, which last aired in 2007, David continued: “We wrote it together and it started as a pilot on BBC Radio 4. It became an instant success when it went onto television.
"I don’t think we’d get away with things we did on the show now."
Meanwhile, current Britain's Got Talent judge David told the Daily Star newspaper he also wanted to launch a children's show.
He said: “I would love to do a children’s TV series one day. And I would love to bring The Chuckle Brothers back. They are an old-style comedy double act and they do clowning and they are really funny.
“I think they should be back on children’s TV.”
