Talking to The Chronicle about the release, an excited Sam shared: :I have been counting down the days until people can hear it; I can’t believe the time is finally here.

“The thing I’m most proud of is that fact that I co-wrote it, so it’s like my first baby.

“I knew I wanted to go for a pop/urban sound and this was the song that just stuck. We kept going back to it, changing it up, adding bits - we’ve worked so hard on it.”

Speaking earlier this year, Sam said she was in the studio writing original songs following her appearance on The X Factor in 2016.

Sam said: "I've watched The X Factor all my life and always looked up to the artists that have come from the show and made successful careers for themselves. I've always wanted to enter the show and as soon as I turned 16, I applied.
