The X Factor 2017 is set to see some massive changes, it's been said this week.
Backstage blabbermouth Sinitta has been teasing a big revamp to the new series, saying the plans have her "reeling".
Sinitta took to Twitter Thursday to tell fans: "We have not even had @BGT live shows yet and already my head is reeeling at the changes coming up on @TheXFactor 2017!! Is it your time?!"
It was reported earlier this year that show bosses are considering a huge shake up that could see The X Factor become more like Britain's Got Talent.
According to The Sun, the potential plan would see the live stages of the competition reduced to just a few weeks, finishing with a week-long final that aired every night over seven days.
"The X Factor executives feel it needs a shake-up with big changes to the format," a source told the tabloid back in March. “They have been discussing having just a few weeks of live shows — so people get to know the singers — and then one big finals week."
The insider claimed: “They think viewers would prefer one week of great TV, with star performers.
“BGT is a huge success, so they could take inspiration from worse places.”
A spokesperson for The X Factor said at the time: “No decisions have been made about the new series.
"Discussions are ongoing and details will be announced in due course.”
Meanwhile, as yet the judges for The X Factor 2017 haven't been confirmed with Nicole Scherzinger still to sign up.
Rumour has it that Mel B will step in if the Pussycat Doll decides to quit.
Auditions for The X Factor 2017 are currently underway across the UK with the series expected to begin again on TV around September time.
