Vera just beat out Line Of Duty in last night's TV ratings.
The second instalment of the new four part series of Vera continued between 8PM and 10PM, winning an audience of 5.3 million.
And while it may have beaten competition from BBC One, it was down a million viewers on last week's opener.
Over on BBC One, the new series of Line Of Duty couldn't quite match up as it launched with a still brilliant 5 million viewers.
It's the fourth series of the show and the first to air on BBC One, having previously called BBC Two its home.
While it was below Vera, Line Of Duty's numbers are up an impressive 2 million viewers on last year's series opener on its old channel to give the show its biggest rating ever.
It was Countryfile that won the evening with 6.3 million viewers, with Antiques Roadshow securing 5.1 million.
On ITV and before Vera, the schedule was dominated by the World Cup Qualifier between England and Lithuania which averaged 4.3 million viewers.
On BBC Two, the new series of Robot Wars remained steady with 1.2 million viewers but Top Gear fell slightly week-on-week, down 100,000 viewers to 2.3 million.
