Host of The X Factor Dermot O'Leary has reportedly landed a big new presenting job worth a whopping £250,000, according to The Sun. The paper claims that the hunky telly front man will take charge of rowing couples in a new ITV1 show called 'The Marriage Ref'.

The show will be based on the US version of the same name, currently hosted by comic Jerry Seinfeld. A pilot had already been filmed with comedian Jo Brand, but bosses have opted for Dermot instead for the first run of seven episodes to be aired later this year.

A panel of celebrates including Jack Dee will join Dermot each week to decide the outcome of real life marital disputes, from trivial arguments to complicated relationship problems.

Dermot told the newspaper: "It's a great show and the kind of thing I want to present because it's not your usual show. It's something I'd watch. I'd never do a gameshow. ITV have big plans for it, so fingers crossed."

The telly host admitted he still wants to crack the states after been snubbed for The X Factor USA. "I still really want to work in America, but not to the detriment of anything I'm doing over here," he said.
