Louisa Johnson has issued a warning to this year's X Factor contestants.
As auditions for the new series kick off, the 2015 winner has told hopefuls to expect to put in a LOT of hard work if they want to do well.
She told AOL's Build: “It was the busiest thing I’ve ever done.
“I don’t think anyone who goes on the show, whether they’re on for two weeks or the whole way through, gets enough credit, because it’s a very, very hard process.”
It's been almost two years now since Louisa finished her stint on the show but she's not stopped working.
Following her winner's single, she's released three more songs - Tears, So Good and most recent hit Best Behaviour - ahead of her debut album.
The move is a new tactic for an X Factor winner who typically drop albums within a year of their victory.
“I wanted to make people realise from the start that I wanted to do things differently,” Louisa revealed to The Sun's Fabulous magazine this month. “I love the way The X Factor works, but I thought: ‘Personally, I wouldn’t do it like that.’
“I didn’t bring out my album in November [the year after winning], like other winners.
“You have to stand your ground with these things if you think something is right.”
Louisa's new single Best Behaviour is out now with her album release still to be confirmed.
