Ant and Dec's Saturday Night Takeaway is enjoying a big ratings boost.

Viewing figures for the show are the highest since the series relaunched back in 2013, having originally finished in 2009 after nine series.

The decision to bring back the show has definitely been a good one as the latest figures show that viewers just can't get enough.

So far this year the live Saturday night episodes have averaged 7.1 million viewers.

The latest episode at the weekend was one of the most watched yet, with 7.4 million viewers.

On average, numbers are up 200,000 on last year and almost a million up on 2015 to give the show its best numbers of the revived run.

It's perhaps no wonder then that ITV signed up the Geordie duo in a new three year deal last year, worth a reported £30 MILLION.

The deal will see the pair continue with Saturday Night Takeaway as well as their other big shows, I'm A Celebrity Get Me Out Of Here and Britain's Got Talent.

We've a feeling a lot more National Television Awards await...

Ant and Dec's Saturday Night Takeaway returns live to ITV this weekend.
