Following Scarlett's rise to fame, her family will no longer be appearing on the show.
A spokesperson for the Channel 4 series confirmed previously: “The Moffatt family will not be appearing in this series.”
A source claimed that Scarlett's rice to fame following her appearance on I'm A Celebrity last year was the reason.
They told the Sunday People newspaper: “The whole premise of Gogglebox is normal people commenting on the TV.
“Scarlett is now a celebrity in her own right so it made sense she wouldn’t continue.
“She and her parents came as a package. It wouldn’t work so well without all three of them.”
Now insiders have suggested that Scarlett "feels terrible" about the decision.
They told Heat magazine: "Scarlett feels terrible that her family was axed because of her fame. It made them more comfortable financially but now that is gone.
"Scarlett feels that her mum especially supported her so much through her recent break up so she feels she owes them."
The source added: "She has promised that she will share her future earnings with them. While they are grateful, they really just loved being on Gogglebox."
Taking to Twitter to speak about her mum and dad leaving Gogglebox, Scarlett wrote online last month: "We are going to miss doing #gogglebox so so much 😭 but can’t wait to watch the new series (good luck my fellow goggleboxers you will smash it love the Moffatts) 💕”
She added: “we are gutted to, thought my Mam and dad (and little Ava) would still be able to do it 😢 but we will still be watching #gogglebox”
