Honey G has opened up about appearing on The X Factor and revealing just why she first auditioned.
Honey G - real name Anna Georgette Gilford - went from recruitment manager to one of the UK's most talked about music stars.
If not always for the right reasons...
Since leaving the show in 2016, Honey G signed a record deal and has put out a number of singles.
Reflecting on her X Factor journey, Honey G opened up: "I entered the show because I wanted to achieve my dream of becoming a rap artist and have a record contract.
"In addition, one of the last things my Grandma said to me before she died was that she wanted me to pursue a career in the music business - so that's what I did!"
Honey G went on to praise those who helped her during her time on The X Factor live shows, saying: "The X Factor crew are the most amazing people I've ever worked with, ranging from the runners to the researches to the Executive Producers and the Syco music team.
"I have enjoyed working with them all so much during my time on the show."
"Sometimes my friends say I want to see Anna now, not Honey G," she said on the show. "I feel like now, after X Factor, I'm more Honey G and not Anna."
The show's experts gave Honey G a completely new wardrobe, hair and ditched her famous sunglasses.
"I feel confident now. I don't know what to say, I really don't," Anna reacted to her new look.
