X Factor runner up Saara Aalto has said that the UK is now her 'new home' following last year's show.

Saara finished behind Matt Terry on The X Factor final in December and has since signed a record deal with Sony Music.

Reflecting on her time on the show, Saara said: "Ever since I was a child I have always dreamed of being an international singer. For many years I worked as a singer in Finland, hoping somebody would give me a chance, but I never found the support that I needed.

"I finally realised that I just had to be brave and take a risk and go out there and chase my dreams!

"That is why I auditioned for The X Factor UK, and has changed my life completely."

Originally from Finland, Saara continued: "I finally feel accepted and loved. It has been amazing how much the British public have supported me and I can't thank you all enough. I have found my place and my new home."

There's no news yet on Saara's plans for her first single with the Finn instead currently on touring the UK with the X Factor's live arena shows.

"I'm so thrilled that The X Factor journey is not over yet. We're going to have so much fun on the tour," Saara raved.

Saara is joined on the X Factor live tour by Matt Terry, 5 After Midnight, Emily Middlemas, Honey G, Ryan Lawrie, Samantha Lavery and Four Of Diamonds.
