Cat Deeley has backed Ant and Dec's plans to bring back SMTV: Live.

The Saturday morning TV series was a huge hit in the 90s and early 00s, starring Cat alongside the Geordie duo.

The rather random programme saw the trio involved in all sorts of ridiculous games and sketches, such as Friends parody C.H.U.M.S and 'make Dec angry' aka Wonky Donkey.

Next year will mark 20 years since the very first episode and we could see it back - if only for one Saturday only.

Speaking earlier this year, Ant revealed: “We were talking to somebody about this recently because it’s twenty years since the launch of SM:tv next year.

“So, we were saying whether we could do an anniversary special or something, and we got carried away with the idea.

He told the Metro newspaper: “If we did it a one off, it would be on at 9.25am, with C.H.U.M.S and all that, and get Cat back!”

Dec added: "We're floating it about a few people at the moment, and were getting some positives responses so far."

Cat has given her backing to the plans and said she'd love to be involved, appearing on the finale of Saturday Night Takeaway this weekend.

The presenter with the perfect hair was revealed to have been villain Maskface in the show's The Missing Crown Jewels whodunit.

After the revelation, Cat join Ant and Dec as they teased a SM:TV reunion next year.

Meanwhile, speaking to the Press Association, Cat said: “I think it would be a great idea. It’s been 20 years. I think it’s about time, isn’t it, for all those with a mis-spent youth?

"It would be great and really fun. If we can all get back together at the same time, at the same place, let’s recreate the magic."
