The show is set to be back on TV by the end of 2017 after more than a decade off air.
The former ITV series - which was fronted by the late Cilla Black - will move to Channel 5 for its new run.
And Geordie Shore's Vicky Pattison is the favourite to host it all, it's been claimed.
"Blind Date is the original dating show and it’s huge news to bring it back," a source claimed previously. "It’s a classic format that will be rebooted to make it young, sexy and modern. Expect sparks to fly.
“In an age of Tinder, you have got to earn the right to love on this show.”
Vicky herself has now spoken up about the rumours and says she's not got the job - yet.
"I'm as thrown by the rumours as everyone else. I've got 30 WhatsApps, all like, 'Congrats.'" Vicky told Heat magazine this week. "I can't bring myself to reply because what can I say? I've not got the job, it's embarrassing. But fingers crossed!
"And I love Cilla's son for saying I'd do a good job."
The new Blind Date is apparently set to air on Friday nights, possibly alongside Big Brother or Celebrity Big Brother in the summer.
Insiders say that the classic series will be "updated for modern times" with an initial six episode run.
As well as Vicky, pop star Kylie Minogue has been linked to to the show as well as Coronation Street's Catherine Tyldesley.
