Scarlett Moffatt has admitted she's "gutted" after her family were dropped from Channel 4's Gogglebox.

Following Scarlett's rise to fame, her family will no longer be appearing on the show.

A spokesperson for the Channel 4 series confirmed at the weekend:“The Moffatt family will not be appearing in this series.”

An insider claimed that Scarlett's rice to fame following her appearance on I'm A Celebrity last year was the reason.

They told the Sunday People newspaper: “The whole premise of Gogglebox is normal people commenting on the TV.

“Scarlett is now a celebrity in her own right so it made sense she wouldn’t continue.

“She and her parents came as a package. It wouldn’t work so well without all three of them.”

Following I'm A Celeb, which she won, Scarlett has gone on to scoop a number of high profile TV gigs.

They include joining Ant and Dec's Saturday Night Takeaway for the new series which begins this weekend on ITV.

Taking to Twitter to speak about her mum and dad leaving Gogglebox, Scarlett wrote online: "We are going to miss doing #gogglebox so so much 😭 but can’t wait to watch the new series (good luck my fellow goggleboxers you will smash it love the Moffatts) 💕”

She added: “we are gutted to, thought my Mam and dad (and little Ava) would still be able to do it 😢 but we will still be watching #gogglebox”
