Following Scarlett Moffatt's rise to fame, her family has been dropped by Channel 4's Gogglebox.
A spokesperson for the Channel 4 series confirmed this weekend that the Moffatt family would no longer be appearing in the new series.
Ahead of the show's return to TV next week, Channel 4 announced: “The Moffatt family will not be appearing in this series.”
An insider claimed that Scarlett's rice to fame following her appearance on I'm A Celebrity last year was the reason.
They told the Sunday People newspaper: “The whole premise of Gogglebox is normal people commenting on the TV.
“Scarlett is now a celebrity in her own right so it made sense she wouldn’t continue.
“She and her parents came as a package. It wouldn’t work so well without all three of them.”
Following I'm A Celeb, which she won, Scarlett has gone on to scoop a number of high profile TV gigs.
They include joining Ant and Dec's Saturday Night Takeaway for the new series which begins next weekend on ITV.
Scarlett will star each week as a guest host, who doesn't know what she's got herself into.
"She reminded us of us when we were younger, like a female us – the same sense of humour – and we had to work with her," Ant told the Radio Times magazine at the National Television Awards.
Dec teased: "She’s got a very big role in the first show but we haven’t broken it to her yet. We’re going to have enormous fun with her."
