Kylie Minogue has been tipped to host a revived version of Blind Date, it's been reported.
The show will be back on TV by the end of 2017 after more than a decade off air.
The former ITV series - which was fronted by the late Cilla Black - will move to Channel 5 for its new run.
"Blind Date is the original dating show and it’s huge news to bring it back," a source told The Sun previously. "It’s a classic format that will be rebooted to make it young, sexy and modern. Expect sparks to fly.
“In an age of Tinder, you have got to earn the right to love on this show.”
The new Blind Date is apparently set to air on Friday nights, possibly alongside Big Brother or Celebrity Big Brother in the summer.
While Geordie Shore's Vicky Pattison was originally the favourite to host it all, it's now been claimed that Channel 5 are keen to get Kylie Minogue on board instead.
"Bosses have been taken aback by the amount of buzz around the series so are rethinking their original ideas," a source explained. “They know this is their chance to land an A-lister and Kylie has been discussed because she is so likeable.
“Blind Date has such a huge legacy and Channel 5 has had so much success with Celebrity Big Brother and Lip Sync Battle, it gives them a calling card to attract the best.”
Blind Date wouldn't be Channel 5's first dating show, with Stand By Your Man airing in 2014 as competition for ITV's Take Me Out.
However it didn't really catch on and a second series was never made.
