Ant and Dec have signed a host of stars for the new series of Saturday Night Takeaway.
After last year's Who Shot Simon Cowell?' this year's series will see another all star whodunnit called 'The Missing Crown Jewels' which will feature a host of household names.
The plot will involve footballing icon Alan Shearer, singer Dame Shirley Bassey, TV personality Carol Vorderman, singer Katherine Jenkins and actor Michael Sheen.
A show insider told The Sun newspaper: “Who Shot Simon Cowell? gripped the nation for weeks last year.
“Millions of Saturday Night Takeaway viewers saw the music mogul gunned down on primetime telly. But this year’s whodunnit sketch is set to be even bigger and better.
“Show bosses have pulled out all the stops to get some huge A-list guests involved in the fun."
Also appearing will be Steps' singer Ian H Watkins, Olympian Jessica Ennis-Hill, gardening export Alan Titchmarsh, TV presenter Clare Balding, Aled Jones, Gareth Malone and Martin Lewis.
The news follows Ant and Dec scooping three more National Television wards including their SIXTEENTH gong for Best TV Presenters, as well as awards for Saturday Night Takeaway and I'm A Celeb.
It's perhaps no wonder that they've signed a renewed three year deal that will keep them on ITV for the next three years at least.
But as well as their staple shows, Ant and Dec have plans to branch out this year with some new projects.
"It was something completely different and we've hopefully got plans to do one or two things per year from now on that surprise us hopefully as much as the viewers," Ant explained. "We'd like to do a bit more comedy, and documentary as well, but that's something we'll pick on a show-by-show basis."
Ant and Dec's Saturday Night Takeaway is rumoured to launch on Saturday, February 18 on ITV.
